Originally built in 1607 and located in the beautiful historic village of Appleshaw within the designated conservation area within Test Valley Borough.
JWA have gained planning approval to add a new open plan kitchen, living, dining space, with ancillary spaces such as boot room, utility and ground floor WC. A new alternative entrance with better connection to the parking and garage is also proposed and improved the thermal performance of the home.
Whilst fulfilling the brief we were able to create a better connection between the internal spaces to the garden. To create better views of the garden, introducing more natural light with floor to ceiling glazing and roof lights. Creating a better sense of space and volume with increased ceiling heights and enhancing the ecology by way of a sedum green roof, swift and bat boxes.
